Indonesian Dance Festival

IDF is a regular festival in every two years since 1992. It is an independent festival in cooperation with Performing Arts Faculty of Jakarta Institute of the Arts (IKJ).

IDF is a meeting place where dance groups and choreographers from different orientations and cultures gather together to show, to rehearse, and to create new works or even to exchange new ideas.

IDF is a collaborative place among national and international dancers and choreographers to work together to exchange innovation ideas based on their traditions and cultures.

Indonesian Dance Festival has 2 performances:

• The main performance will be filled by qualified Indonesian and International choreographers and dance companies; and
• Emerging Choreographers will be filled by new talented choreographers who are still working to find their own innovative dance identity
